Online Medieval Sources Bibliography:
- An annotated bibliography of printed and online primary sources for the Middle Ages. In addition to the printed sources
listed, there are links to many online full-text sources. Some may require a free registration to view.

- A unique statistical database which allows you to research and
compare a multitude of different data on US states. We have compiled information from various primary sources such as the
US Census Bureau, the FBI, and the National Center for Educational Statistics. More than just a mere collection of various
data, StateMaster goes beyond the numbers to provide you with visualization technology like pie charts, maps, graphs and

- NationMaster is a massive central data source and a handy
way to graphically compare nations. It is a vast compilation of data from such sources as the CIA World Factbook,
UN, and OECD. You can generate maps and graphs on all kinds of statistics with ease.
Claims to be the web's one-stop resource for country statistics on everything from soldiers to wall plug voltages.
You can also view profiles of individual countries including their maps and flags, use correlation reports and scatterplots
to find relationships between variables, and refer to fully integrated encyclopedia with over one million articles.
Background Notes on countries of the world from the U.S. Department
of State:
- These publications include facts about the land, people, history, government, political conditions, economy, and foreign
relations of independent states, some dependencies, and areas of special sovereignty. The Background Notes are
updated/revised by the Office of Electronic Information and Publications of the Bureau of Public Affairs as they are
received from the Department's regional bureaus and are added to the database of the Department of State website.

- CIA World
Factbook
- Produced by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, this is a goldmine of
information on over 200 countries of the world. Includes maps, other geographical
information, current issues, history, information on the government, military,
economy, trade, transportation and transnational issues.
- Country Studies/Area Handbooks
- A program of the Library of Congress, this site describes and analyzes
the political, economic, social and national security systems and institutions
of 101 countries.

National Government Statistical Websites
- The websites of statistical agencies of countries contain data, reports, statistical yearbooks, press releases,
methodological guides, and other information of continuing interest to social scientists and historians. 75 websites in
roman alphabets from Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Eurasia,East Asia, Latin America, the Near East, Russia and Eastern Europe,
and South Asia are included.
